Program Timeline

Here is what it looks like to participate in the Bobcat IDEA program

Undergraduate Research Forum

Will bring together students and faculty as well as potential donors and employers actively involved in research experiences across Texas State. Students interested in the program have the opportunity to make connections with researchers across the campus and the San Marcos area.

Modules

Students will complete two modules on the utility and ethics of research during the program.

Courses

Students will also take two courses on the basics of research and work on their research project.

RICE Showcase

The Research, Inquiry, and Creative Expression (RICE) Showcase provides students the opportunity to present and receive awards for their faculty-mentored research/creative activity in performance, oral platform, or poster format. Students who have not yet participated in the program will have the chance to see completed projects and research opportunities that may inspire them.
